Private Sector Development Strategy

Summary

This strategy outlines the Australian aid program’s broad approach to the development of the private sector in our partner countries.

Description

The AusAID Private Sector Development Strategy was launched by Minister for Foreign Affairs, Senator the Hon Bob Carr, on 21 August 2012 at the Consultative Forum for Business in Canberra. The Private Sector Development Strategy provides a framework for how AusAID will support the growth of the private sector in our partner countries. This includes work across a number of our core areas, including financial inclusion, women’s economic empowerment, infrastructure, education, health, economic reform and governance.
